Go and talk to your doctor again. There's no reason that you should be suffering. The medication that you're on isn't working for you, and you need to tell that to your doctor so that he/she can help you find one that does. Perhaps even ask to be referred to a psychiatrist, someone who has a better knowledge of mental health, and better understanding of the medications available.

Ride them out, face your fears, all that stuff!
The magic pill just reinforces the cause of the attacks because you're having to rely on someone else to solve them!
Bravery is being afraid but doing it anyway!

Please consider adding psychotherapy to your medication regimen. Although anti-anxiety medications can help, they are only a PART of the picture. You may be pleasantly surprised at the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral therapy in combatting your issues.
Best of luck to you,
~M~
p.s. Also consider bringing your husband WITH you to therapy. Your therapist can help you and your husband come up with a plan together for managing your condition.

if you can get to PhD and have testing.
also try to figure out if there are environmental stressors causing
or medical conditions causing.
usually this combo from trauma of some sort.
i know this also personally
and try taking a real anti anxiety pill like buspar . 4 weeks till feel results.
many anti depressants are the worst thing to take. they often increase anxiety.. read the warnings you got from the pharmacy or look it up.
remember pharmacy industry gets sued all the time for damage by psyche and other meds.
be a smart consumer.

Your bio-chemistry is out of balance. You need to change your diet and in about 6 months you'll feel like a new person. It's about getting the right balance of protein, complex carbs, etc. to build your neurotransmitters.
Your body/brain is built on what you feed it.

"Help" is found, in time, at the "throne of grace":
Hebrews 4:16, where only "mercy" obtain-able.
Depression (Oppression) Cure:
- natural cure: flax seed oil capsules
(wean off pharmaceuticals for 21 days)
- spiritual cure: flush law law for grace is sufficient
When healed, remember words of JC to man & woman:
"sin(law) no more"; notably lest a "worse" thing happen
Worse? Seven spirits in Revelation should ring a bell.

See a psychologist - Someone to talk to, not prescribe you pills. Sometimes it just helps to talk to a neutral person. They may also be able to help you come up with some coping methods. You could also invite your husband along for a session, once you have gotten better, so he can understand what is going on better. I suggest coming off the pills though (slowly). You can do without. Just eat healthy and get plenty of exercise.

as a very long term patient of axiety I feel I can safely answer this question. Most medications for depression can cause anxiety. Zoloft does not. Go back to your doctor and ask them to change you to clonazepam 1mg taken at bedtime. 30 tablets of xanax .5mg that is a point 5mg. taken only for emergencies. for sever panick attacks. you should not need more than 5 per month. have them triple check that the depression med does't cause panik attacks. You can also do this yourself at webmd. You can print this off and take to your doc if you like.
I have had panick attacks since I was 5 years old. at the age of 37 I think they finially started treating me with xanax. only. I was not happy as it made me tired. And xanax can add to depression. at 39 I found a doctor that put me on the clonazapin and no longer needed the xanax except for emergencies. like if i had to have a shot or got bit by a dog. something sereious. at the age of 43 I can now live a fairly drug free life , and normal one. i can go out in public and take care of my children. They say not all drugs work for all people , but I really think that helping you with your anxiety is going to be a great step.
You would never know today that 6 years ago I would end up on the ground trying to take a walk because I was so scared to stand up that I would fall over. I passed out in my car and couldn't go into the school to get my daughter. 3 weeks ago I broke my toe. would have been a crisis all those years ago. Now I just keep going. swearing a little.
really hope this helps and starts you on a new life too.

last January i had a really bad panic attack I'd never had one b4, my friend had to rush me to the hospital because she though i was having a stroke. Ever since then my blood pressure has been wacky its either really high 147/80 or really low 102/80 never my normal 116-125/80 like i used to be. It's kinda scary.. recently i told my fiance that I'm depressed and I'm not really sure why but i just feel empty he did not understand either and started blaming himself. perhaps let your husband know that its not his fault and you really need him to be accepting and understanding so less stress is put on you. also you may want to try to think back to what you were thinking about / feeling before your panic attacks. If there is something bothering you that is on setting these attacks you need to deal with or remove the stimuli that is causing these attacks. I also just went off the birth control pill and found a few weeks later i was feeling better i had the same problem on depo but it took about a month to wear off. if you are on control this maybe contributing. also you may just need a different anti-depressant. or you may just not be getting enough sunlight. i get more depressed over the winter months. if your still having a lot of panic attacks when you see one coming on try to lay down and breath deeply don't let yourself hyperventilate. i hope this has helped and good luck :)

I suffered with anxiety and depression for years until someone told me about the Bach Flower remedies. I now treat others with them. Bach Flower remedies are safe to take, they are natural, and they really do work. There are 38 treatments that work for every emotion we can experience from deep black depression through anxiety, panic attacks and sheer terror to absolute anger. Search the web for a Bach Flower therapist in your area. While you are taking them you can continue taking your anti-depressants/tablets for anxiety until you notice a change then you can start reducing the dosage of your tablets. Believe me, they do work - they worked for me. I am also a healer, so right at this moment I am going to send absent healing to you. You will get well again even though right now it feels like you won't. Trust me, you will get better. You are not going mad. You are worthy of help and there is nothing wrong with you that can't come right. xx
